In a nutshell, I’m a former guitar playing long haul truck driver turned DJ and producer with an MBA.
After spending much of the late 90s and early 2000s playing in bands and working in marketing for high tech companies, I started writing and producing my own material full time in 2006 for indie releases and use in TV and film.
In 2008 I signed with Studio 51 Music to write exclusive dance, electronica, and hip hop instrumentals for Harpo Productions to use in their internationally syndicated shows the Oprah Winfrey Show and Dr. Oz, where I have had hundreds of placements over the last few years.
As a film/TV composer I have also written tracks for several music libraries and publishers including Heavy Hitters Music, Harpo Sounds, Studio 51 Music, Rock Talk Music, Music Dealers, Beatpick, and Pacifica Music. I have also written original pieces for several indie short films, TV and web commercials, web videos, and iPhone games.
As producer I released my first LP under the artist name Lush Logic in 2007, then a follow-up single/remix Mexico City in 2008 for Combustible Records. In 2011 I joined the Gravitas Recordings label in Austin, TX producing a track for the compilation Virtus in Sonus Vol. 1. A new LP is slated for release under my own name in mid-2012.
As a DJ I have opened for downtempo/funk heavyweights such as J. Boogie and Thunderball, and I play regular DJ gigs in clubs, bars, and festivals around Austin.
